Best Align Helicopters For The Price
In the 30 years that I have been involved in this hobby, I have never seen the type of domain a brand has over all others in the same way as Align RC and its T-Rex helicopter lineup. Add to this a huge market of Trex spare parts and Trex clone market and it is hard to ignore how Align has done it and continues to form our hobby.

Yes, the SAB Goblins line has certainly eaten Align’s dominance in recent years with outstanding high-end RC helicopters and innovations as well. I really consider SAB, the “RC Helicopter Ferrari”, and you pay a premium for that exotic and ultra high performance design. For the average Joe traveler, however, like me, Align offers really reliable, no hassle for the money.
After all, Align Helicopters continues to earn its fair share of competition titles around the world, so there is no shortage of performance and accuracy. If the SABs are those of Ferrari, maybe those of Align are those of Porsche
Why is Align Helicopters still popular? Simple, they do everything right, from the design to the support of pieces; Align RC knows the RC helicopter business better than most and what is needed to manufacture some of the best birds and support equipment for the price.
Align is a company based in Taiwan and recently got into the RC side of things first with helicopters, and then got on the “multi-helicopter car” to benefit from that target rich salsa train. Just what the world needs, another multi-rotor brand, yuk!
The Newest and Hottest Align Helicopters
Leaving aside the mutirotor, the main products of Align before entering the RC market were the accessories of milling for lathes and milling machines, high-end vacuum cleaners and small appliances. All manufacturing areas that lend themselves very well to the manufacture and design of radio controlled helicopters as well. Toshiba was the most recognized customer and partner of Align, along with other popular brands such as Hitachi and Sanyo.
Line RC sweats the details and is displayed on your helicopter kits.
Align helicopters have some of the nicest CNC machined parts, with nice little details like heat, color anodizing, laser engraving and they offer a wide selection of kits to meet the needs and budget of almost everyone.
However, in recent years, the main focus for Align (as with most top-level RC helicopter manufacturers) has been greater and higher performance and power to power the hard core 3D crowd.
Many versions, for example, now come with DFC rotor heads (direct flight control) and 600 electric heads and higher are only available in high voltage versions of 12 V (high voltage). 450 sizes up to 550, only in 6S power versions.
As you can see, each group of pieces is packaged and identified in a pleasant and compact way, which allows easy and quick assembly.
The instructions are logical and well presented, and show the identification of the corresponding parts bag, the view of exploded parts, the assembly instructions and the listing of each piece up to the last fixing screw.
The original equipment manufacturer will be impressed with how well an Align helicopter kit is combined, and the experienced RC helicopter manufacturer will be surprised how quickly you can build a T-Rex with many of the more complicated parts that are already pre-assembled
I’ve built and flown my part of the RC helicopters over the years, and I’ve stayed true to the Miniature Aircraft USA, which has become increasingly difficult to procure spare parts in Canada, and closed its doors in the business after more than 25 years in business February unfortunately 2014.
On the other hand, alignment helicopters are carried out in almost all amateur shops around the world with an excellent spare parts network containing many spare parts. I’m a real Align fan who now flies three Trex 600s (two ESP in Scales and the Electric Pro), a small 150X, a 250, a 450, a 700E with BlackShark3 F3C hull and a 800E DFC.
As I mentioned earlier, in 2014 Align entered the DFC vehicle very seriously and began installing DFC heads on all models except the remaining 700F3C, which uses a conventional stabilizer.
Here is my description of DFC if you are not sure what exactly DFC is.
I’m still not convinced that this is a good idea, and I’m not convinced that the DFC is a better way to pass the cyclic plate upside down over the verified and true conventional wash connections.
However, Align listens to its customers and pro pilots, and the latest “X” versions of their helicopters return once again to the standard FBL heads with washouts, very good!
Debate from DFC aside; Most Align T-Rex helicopter kits come in “Super Combo” versions. These “combos” include its full range of digital digital brushless, digital coreless and brushless HV servos, as well as a full range of very powerful high-quality Align MX brushless motors, ESC (Castle Creations) and Beast X / Plus. flybarless systems.
In my opinion, this gives you some of the best high performance helicopter kits, all included and of high quality for the price. As I said before, the best of the best is how I see all these super combo kits Align.
I invite you to check the Align website to see what other kits are available because they always change and present new products. The last time I updated this page was in August of 2017, and even being a Alinear traveler, I have a hard time keeping up with all the new models and products. Aligning is not slowing down in other words and keeps innovating.
The Align site also has the latest firmware downloads for its Align brand flybarless systems and, of course, owner manuals for all its products.

Finally, what would Align Helicopter be without a video of what one can do in the hands of a pilot much better than me? We can also take a look at the 800E Pro DFC that is being “worked” and show some of its amazing potential.
